The Houston Tennis Association, Inc. (HTA) gratefully acknowledges the LeMaster Tennis Tournament as a sponsor of an HTA scholarship. We are pleased that five college-bound students will be receiving scholarships named for Chuck and Roberta LeMaster ranging from $2,000 to $1,500.

Mikaela is attending Klein Cain High School and plays varsity tennis. She will be attending Baylor University in the fall and plans to
study Biology Pre-Med.
“I have wanted to be a Dermatologist. My parents have led me to be who I am today and introduced me to the path of helping others at an early age, which has motivated me to try and do more for my community in the past and soon future.”
Ethan is attending Pearland High School and has been playing tennis for six years. He will be attending Concordia University Texas in the fall and plans to study business.
“Through tennis, I learned to find joy in the journey, to savor the connections built with my teammates during several hours of practice and long tournament days.”
Ethan is attending Cypress Creek High School and plays varsity tennis. He will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall and plans to study Mechanical Engineering.
“I want to pursue a Mechanical Engineering degree and later a job in that field, is because I want to expand my knowledge in the subject that I have admired since I was a child.”
Jordan attends Clear Springs High School and has been playing on the varsity tennis team all four years. She will be attending Baylor University this fall where she plans to study biomedical engineering.
“I aspire to utilize this scholarship to not only fund my access to the research and educational opportunities that Baylor has to offer, but to devote me efforts to helping create devices that capture earlier detection of diseases such as cancer. I seek to eliminate the number of tests that patients must undergo be designing a way to geta full diagnosis through one procedure.”
Kinsey is attending Port Neches-Groves High School in Beaumont, TX and has been playing tennis all four years. She will be attending Lamar University in the fall and plans to study Biology.
“I will be attending Lamar University, majoring in Biology and concentrating in Pre-Optometry. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, my goal is to further my aspirations of studying optical sciences in the College of Optometry and the University of Houston in order to pursue a career as an optometrist.
